Google Apps issues

Monday, September 23rd, 2013

~1 hour after the issue started – Google: “This issue is affecting less than an estimated 0.024% of the Gmail user base”
~4 hours after the issue started – Google: “The email delays are affecting less than 50% of Gmail users”

Google, maybe you’re great with math but your support sucks big time.

SysAid is installed!

Tuesday, September 17th, 2013

We just replaced our old helpdesk system (manageengine’s servicedesk) with SysAid 9.1.01 RC2 (b69).

I really like the new UI. The installation went smoothly, the only issue was with the init-sysaid.sh script that I had to dos2unix.

Damn it, ISA/TMG (Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server / Forefront Threat Management Gateway) was one of the (few?) Microsoft products I actually liked, it is sad Microsoft has decided to kill it.
